Gentlemen I am restoring a Police stag handled Bayonet and the emblem on the handle is a phoney aluminum POS glued on with epoxy.
I would very much like to put on a nice nickle original if I could find one.
If anyone knows where a nice one could be procured please let me know...Willing to pay a fair price to get this otherwise excellent example put back together properly.
Thanks, Jerry Burney

Check the WEB at Tom Johnson

at JRB, http://www.johnsonreferencebooks.com

He usually has them in stock.

Go to CATALOG

Jerry, Hope that he has what you need. He has a vast inventory from having bought out the 'old stocks' of a number of Solingen firms!

Glad to Help - that's what GDC is all about. Dave/dblmed

Dave, I emailed this gentleman several days ago with a detailed message and have not heard a word from him. I guess I will try again.
He does have a lot of parts..Again I do appreciate your efforts!

Finally heard from Col. Johnson. He apparently does not have what I need so I am still looking if anyone out there knows of a source or has an extra laying around...Thanks, Jerry Burney

Jerry,

I found one on Bob Roger's web site which is reasonable and very fairly priced.

Click on the attached link.

John, Thanks! I have asked Bob if the emblem has a painted background...I have never seen one like this. I have not seen that many but in general they are cutout.
The dagger I am repairing for a client is a Police Clamshell. I am guessing it would have a high quality nickle cutout emblem.
If anyone knows for sur I would appreciate the knowledge..Thanks, Jerry Burney
