I finally finished my display cabinet and can now store my daggers out of the scabbard - is it advisable to slightly oil the blades or shall I leave them dry ?

Nice display.I would leave them dry. Just keep the humidity under 55% to be safe.Treat them like a gun wipe off finger prints.

thanks for your advise Zorro
to keep humidity down is a bit hard here in the subtropics but since they are easily accessable I can keep a close eye on them

after proper cleaning of the blades, spray them with a liquid silicone spray-stand them upright to dry and them they will be protected from the humidity-Mike
