Saw this nickel plating system at the Micro-Mark site,any thoughts?

Rich, I used to plate things way back in college. Those kits probably are really worth a fraction of those costs. It simply takes ions of say brass and layers the , lets say coin , to get a very thin layer of plating, It sure isnt the nice triple plating you see nowadays. I suppose you could just leave the process on for a day and it would really thicken it up. Probably worth the cheap kit as if I remember you can put any metal in the solution and it will transfer the gold on you ring etc. Been a long time so maybe we can get a real expert here to advise, Tiep

the "triple plating" is three layers of different metal platings. First is copper, then nickel, and finally chrome. Just throwing that out for anyone who doesnt know. Ive never tried one of the small kits though.
