I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice on a problem I have with my RCEM dagger.
It's this: my RC scabbard, though outwardly great, tends to stick to the blade whenever it is removed. It seems that the retention clips inside the scabbard are not padded and tend to hold on to the blade a little too well. I am afraid that with time this will scratch my blade, and I have already begun to notice tiny scrapes that were not there before.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this problem, or, worst case, how to disassemble the scabbard and carefully remove the retention device?

Dont store it in the scabbard. I am sure you will get a few other replys, but thats my advice. If the piece is that nice dont risk the damage from further scabbard use or scabbard take down. "If it aint broke dont fix it!"
Pieces get all monked up when "we" collectors think it needs fixing or tweeked a bit.

Thanks for the advice. I was afraid that I would simply have to avoid using the scabbard--what a shame. I suppose I can find a functional interim scabbard to replace it...
