Does anyone know what the base metal used in the construction of the hilt parts of a Red Cross Officer's dagger is?

Hi, The Early ones are nickle - Silver plated with copper, then nickle plated. The later ones are nickle plated Tombac.

I'm sorry--IMO that is not correct. IMO all are pot metal, nickel plated, and then lacquered to dull the shine a bit. Some of the spanners appear to be a brass alloy-later ones pot metal.
