This is the kind of condition you want to find when searching for an SA!

Beautiful dagger. That blade is in great shape.I'm sure it's a rarity to find that type of condition.I'm sure your statement about condition rings true for the majority of the collecting community.
Myself,I don't mind having a item with some good honest wear and history to it.
Some runner marks,a few hits on the grip here and there, and a uncleaned, used, been there look is what excites me in this hobby.
Thinking a dagger has been through a few rallies and seen some action instead of sitting on a shelf of a distributor or tucked away in someone's drawer collecting dust makes it all the more appealing in my eyes.
I guess there's 2 ways of looking at a mint blade. Please don't get me wrong your dagger is awesome, but is there anyone else who likes their items with some wear?

I agree with you. This is one of my best conditioned but I also like and prefer some wear. Somehow the untouched ones look artificial and have no soul.

Mark,
Thanks for your positive and open-minded response.
By the way, your 1938 Allach rally vase listed elsewhere on this forum is a beautiful thing.

My favourite condition is: minty blade and signs of time and wear on the outside Smile

Great piece Mark. I've always wanted an SA by this maker, very tough to find this maker in this condition. If you ever decide to part with it...
