I have a 1942 SA dagger and the blade looks odd to me because of the shape. I am thinking perhaps it was buffed down and then regraining added, but I am not sure.

Here is the dagger

Here is the blade next to a transitional I know is correct.

See how the top blade narrows, plus you have a different appearance. But the one is late manufacture. So, I need opinions.

Thank you

the top blade does look assymetrical, how much shorter is it than the `good` blade?.

There are slightly different shapes of genuine blades. Some taper to the point more quickly and appear more pointed.

The finish on the upper dagger is different, but I would like to see it in person. Maybe some close ups would help.

Thanks guys.

BlueBob UK. The blade lengths are almost exact.

Dave, I will post some photos of the blade. I hope they are good enough. If not, I will be taking more photos over the weekend.
