Dave, you have MOST or all the known SS makers, so why don't you post your tang collection?
I have discovered so much about NPEA Daggers using the tang and crossguard markings among other things and it will be in my revision. Ron Weinand Weinand Militaria MAX CHARTER MEMBER LIFE MEMBER OVMS |

Mr. Moore,
I do have a Carl Julius Krebs SS Dagger. Hermann Hahn and Joseph Wolf are thought to exist and I would certainly be interested in knowing where an example can be found. I'll pay a finder's fee for those two plus any other so far unrecorded early makers. Vic and Wolf Thanks for those Dave |

According to one of your pervious posts you had purchased a Hermann Hahn but you sent it back to the dealer because the condition was not up to your standards. So it is known to exist, correct?
I would like to see a photo of the Krebs. I don't recall seeing it in Wittmann's book. |

No, Mike,
On a rare dagger, my standards would be that it was beyond doubt an SS dagger and that all the pieces were there. That one did not meet those standards ... in my opinion. I emphasize the words "in my opinion". So therefore I still regard Hahn and Wolf as possibles. And ... I will pay a finder's fee Dave |

Ed,
What are those marks. I can read the one that looks like a sideway "D", but the others I cannot make out. Daev |

Dave,
The first mark looks like a crude C K to me and the other one is a sideways D and two circles superimposed over each other. I've included some additional pics. ![]() |
