After watching 'Beyond the valley of the dolls' last night, i was wondering if other SA daggers are featured in any modern post war film?

In case you were wondering, there is a scene in the movie where one is stuck into a table..full on..

Here's the trailer...
look for the old man with the SS brownshirt!!..

This is "the freaked out mind blowing scene of right now!"

Too funny..especially when you have a 50 year old man saying the lines..like he means it maaaann!

Third Reich dagger images appear in lots of movies. For example, in the film "Knight of the Generals" (circa 1968) during the opening credits, there is a close-up of an SA dagger being withdrawn from the scabbard.

In other movies, such as Michael Winner's "Death Wish" series, SA/SS daggers are seen in a wall display (Death Wish IV, I think); similarly, in the Mel Brookes film "Robin Hood, men in tights", a black handled SS type Holbein is seen, and thrown in the film.

In Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan" an HJ knife is seen, and commented upon by the American soldier who relieved it.

Yes, the SA, and SS, and other organisational daggers do make an occasional guest appearance in the movies. None of them have had a leading role yet, but then I guess that is just too much to ask!

There's an SS chained on the table when Mengele is announcing his plan in The Boys from Brazil.

I think it was here that someone said some daggers from HOGANS HEROES were all real?
