I have just bought a SA maker marked "CARL GRAH SOLINGEN-OHLIGS" stamped on the crossguard is the No 15/20003 and is also stamped on the scabbard throat fitting, how does that No break down? c and can the No be traced? Thanks for any help.

Beautiful piece. I believe Craig G. sold a most similar piece several years ago, same maker, same condition and similar (if not identical) markings. Congratulations on it, it's a winner.

Peter,
Nice piece! As for tracing the numbers, at this time is impossible the SA seems to have no rime or reason to how they marked them, I have one with the same Gau mark by gustav Wirth and numbered 47 305.

Billy g & Fritziii thanks for the feedback,I'm glad you like the dagger,It really is a pity though it cannot be traced, just have to enjoy it as it is, I would be most supprised if it was the one sold some time ago by Craig,it's just that I went to an arms show here in England at the weekend and had just got to the table when whoever had just sold it to the dealer, and the dealer had just enough time to put his profit on when I bought it,the nickle fittings on the handle where really nicotine stained and look as though they had been for years, but the blade appears never to have been exposed it just has the runner marks, but with the smallest amount of grey near the tip.anyway glad you like it.

Yes, a very nice SA dagger this is! Congratulations with this find, Peter.

I wonder if the number markings make it more valuable? It should in my opinion, because they are rare to find in my experience.

Greetings

Herr Mann
