Say what you want about Ebay, but it's a weathervane for real world prices that people are willing to pay. This looks like a nice dagger, but I don't recall seeing an SA going for this much. In comparable condition and not considering extreme rarities, it appears an SA dagger will bring about 25% of an SS dagger.

Fair price for a nice example. The nice ones never were cheap, just very hard to find unmolested.

yehh I have been following that one also.

Prices are getting loony high. Sometimes however still nice buys can be done on e-bay with buy it now.

Most minty ones are bid to death and hardly obtainable via e-bay for normal prices. Most dealer prices are lower.

I think that ebaY is the true/real-time reflection of what the (world) market will bear.
Seems like just 3 or 4 years ago that the lowly Red Cross EM was of little or no interest to the serious dagger collector, but they too are getting closer and closer to a grand each!
If a nice SS is 4000 it makes sense that a nice SA would start pushing 1000. None of these daggers cost as much out in the underworld though. Non dagger collectors just do not know and would be shocked what we will pay to dealers. That’s why I personally must find mine in the yard sales and various other fresh out of the wood work locations….

big dealers are getting 900$ plus for these for years. and even more. the people that buy this stuff are not rummaging around in a dumpster lookin for a peach pit.

I picked it up a minty RZM today with a buy it now price of $300, its all in the timing. Like someone mentioned before, watching an item for 7 or 10 days "if an auction is lucky enough to run for that long " normally means the price is astronimical on EBAY. There are better deals to be had off certain dealer sites.
Find me an SA that has been listed as kitchen utensil or jermin nife and it might be worth a bid Smile.

i cant tell from most pictures how nice the dagger is. i have got to have it in front of me. pictures do not show most small flaws and scratches and certainly not scabbard condition. you have a 50 50 chance of being happy from ebay purchases. ill bet there has been alot of buyers remorse from buying off an internet picture...tom
