IMO a recent fake.
To my knowledge the RZM never approved or marked brown vertical hangers.

Dave I side with the majority on this one.
Here's why:
1-Normally the RZM designation is accompanied with the maker designation on hangers. So the RZM symbol along with for example,"L2/39". The belt loop has RZM alone- A red flag
2- Usually makers of leather articles for SA/NSKK straps had codes that started with an "L" prefix. This hanger does not.
3- Even "RZM L2/39" is not listed in current references and a known maker: Fishers Reference Vol 1 pg 298
4- In my experience original brown examples are unmarked- This is marked- another red flag.
5- Finally finding a couple of these a month on Ebay from the same source speaks volumes.

I suspect that some do not want to state all these reasons here publicly cause the "maker" is likely to now remove these red flags making it even more difficult to determine authenticity. Before long these may appear with these faults corrected and we will have to show other issues with this.

The snap and buckle are also wrong for this period of stamping-1939. These type fittings can be found on period pieces made in 1933-34-35 but never 1939.The RZM lines in the stamp are also too thick on both pieces. The leather also looks a bit too thick and not the usual color either.

OK You have killed me (You are close to..). Looks like I was cheated but I will treat it like a good lesson. Now I will possess good material to prevent any other mistakes.

Thanks and see You...

On an SS belt loop, I would say "OK, but I would like to see it". On an SA loop ... um .. maybe.
