The triangle within a circle is known as the "Thurs-Rune" and represents the power over life and death.
The other symbol is the "Sonnenrad" and represents the old Teutonic solar wheel.
We all know of course the last symbol, representing the NSKK. Wink

If I may add to this discussion. I did a lot of research on runes a while ago and found that the runic alphabets (of which there are many) changes meanings depending on the timeperiod. I have about 8 "translations" for the meaning of this rune. Pat correctly identified it as a "Thurs" rune. It is also known however as a "Dorn" rune.
In one of the translations for this rune it is described as representing "movement, transportation, migration ,or the changing of location". It is this meaning that I believe was intended since this would fit quite logically on an NSKK dagger.
This is my opinion, thus far TR period runic explinations are vrey few and far beteen. Furthermore if you study runic meanings it is clear that the Germans "picked" the meaning of their runes (and changed them) from a variety of previous sources. Thus the meanings attributed to runes in the TR period do not come from one runic alphabet. They really researched runes and then "made" the runes fit the meanings that they wanted to assign to them...
Good hunting,
Johnny

I spent a lot of time trying to decrypt a couple of runic inscriptions on SS daggers. As Johnny says says, there are several alphabets and they changed over time.

That said, I concluded that Himmler's rune writers made a lot of up as they went along as far as combining alphabets and mixing time frames and thinking up special modern runes to represent Himmler. But, then, who was going to argue with him ?

I would agree with Johnny V.

"this rune it is described as representing "movement, transportation, migration ,or the changing of location"..."

It is the only logicall use of this symbol on this dagger chain.
