This is one of mine, of course Gendarmerie related, and with a bit a postwar aspect...

Here is an interesting Polizei Soldbuch. I did not know if I should put it here or in the WSP thread. This fellow is a reserve in the Wasserschutzpolizei. Notice he is wearing his standard police tunic in his photograph.

Several years ago I got all these interesting documents concerning Schutzpolizei Lt. August Graef.

Here some pages from his Polizei Dienstpass.

His party membership card. It has due stamps on the backside .

There are no other entries in his Polizei-Dienstpass after his promotion to Lt . on 29.10.43. May be he was 'rewarded' with an assignment to fight the Russian Partisans or some other secret duty ???

Bernd, nice grouping you have there! I always enjoy seeing these sort of groupings and knowing they will stay together! To me they say so much more about the individual and his career. Thanks for sharing!

Dave : The total documents give a reflection of the guy's " Lebenslauf " to the 1943 October date .
I forgot , I also had his 'Stahlhelm ' membership booklet .

It is very nice to have these document groupings. I have one complete personnel file that has file copies of all the policeman's documents and one set from a retirement including his retirement documents signed by his colleagues.

Here is an early 1932 Ausweis from the Bavarian Polizei for an Oberwachtmeister. Interesting that this fellow's name was Weimar and this was issued during the last days of the Weimar Republic.
