Could you gentlemen tell me if this particular policeman would have worn the parade dress bandalier and what colour of cartouch would he wear to that bandalier and the colour of his Police helmet too!
I believe it is an Ordnungspolizei tunic.

Your tunic is for the schutzpolizei. The leather would be black and the badges silver on both the Tschako and cartridge box,(and belt for that matter). Yes, in parade circumstances both could be worn with this tunic.

Bill & Hooper, this Schupo man would have worn a white belt and bandelier (not aluminum) with black cartouch box for parade purposes. A Gendarme man of the same rank would have worn a brown bandelier and belt for parade.

Nice looking Hauptwachtmeister der Schutzpolizei tunic from what is visible! Is it dated inside? Does it have the sleeve insignia?

Thinking about it, the close-ended type shoulder strap was later introduced in mid April 1941 and bandoleer ceased to be worn mid March of the same year. I would think a black service belt with the enlisted ranks buckle would be a good fit unless you really desire the parade look and as Joe indicated, white bandoleer with black cartouche.

Helmet, do you mean the shako? It would be black top with black visors with green wool.

Dont know if the tunic is marked or named.But hoping to see it at Beltring this weekend !
