Tell me Gary, on what criteria are you pronouncing this a reproduction? I acknowledge the odd colored backing but what else specifically. The small wings look like the Chinese repro but the head, body and wreath are totally different.

An e-mail perhaps if you don't want to post a response.

I thought that it must have been you that beat me to the coke bottle!

In regard to the first posted... I have to say, the one big thing that jumps out to be is the droopy wings near the body (perhaps an old bird Big Grin) are rather different and distinct from anything I've seen before on original patterns, although how could anyone claim to to know all original patterns/variants! Pictures really don't do much justice in helping to assess this example.

Last one. Not a bad looking eagle except that the black threads are not added. The back is sealed so these were put on when it was made.

That strange dip in the small winglets is like this Chinese repro, but clearly NOT the same.
