I noticed on the WAF forum that there was a police man with a cholm shield, so I thought I would share this one

I can't for the life of me figure out why he would move his sleeve eagle up and wear the shield below, or maybe his sleeve eagle was just a bit high to begin with.

Wasn't it normal practice (perhaps even laid down in regulations) that the sleeve eagle had to be shifted up the sleeve to accomodate the Cholm Shield below? 4 other examples of this being done are to be found in photos on pages 132/133 of Volume 2 of "The German Police" (Bender, 2009). Can anyone quote chapter and verse of the regulations?

The only other arm badge (known formally as a Wehrmacht Battle Badge, or Wehrmacht Kampfabzeichen) that has been confirmed to have been worn by the Police was the Narvik Shield, although I have yet to see this confirmed in a period photograph. Does anyone know of any other shield worn by the Police?
