Believe that this is an insignia that was attached thru the face of the ammo pouch worn on the belt of a police officer, during the Weimar period.

I have an ammo pouch with a TR insignia and the 3 loop pins on this pin match up perfectly with the holes in the leather.

Any comments would be appreciated.

With the 3 loop configuration, I would also assume this is the cartouche box sized insignia. What is the outside size of this insignia? Great find, congrats!

Dave

You are correct, it is for the cartouche box.

This photo should give you the exact size.

Thanks for putting a size to it. Reason why I asked is due to the following badge, which is the same size although with banner and different attachment araingment added. Interesting!

Joe, some rarely seen material! There used to be a great thread about the FF&H badges in the H. Coates Forum, although I was unable to locate to link. Probably another thread lost Mad
