Dave ...Very Nice Conditioned Additions to the Collection.

(Your dry spell is over & you're getting the goods!)

I didn't know about the Fire Helmet with the Unpainted Metal Central Spine, until I saw it and read about it in Littlejohn's "Defending the Reich." I'd venture a guess that it is the least common of these Fire Police Helmets. Dave/dblmed

Oops no edit, I just made an error when trying to post a reply - DC

Dave, thanks for the kind comments! Was it the comb you were not aware of and read about in Littlejohn's book mentioned? He did include some interesting variations and I also noticed he mentioned the removal/discontinued used of the spine due to fear of being reflective and cost prohibitive. Anyhow, at one point I did have and example with the large swastika/tilted national complete with comb that I foolishly sold.

Great example! It's a lot like the one I used to have with the separate inserted "pepper shaker" looking vents, although w/o comb. I do like these early examples!

tasty trio to be sure. and sure scarce in this condition - esp. the slant-insignia variation.

re the comb'd models - always worth remembering that alum. alloy was a strategic metal, needed for the aircraft industry among others.

surprising, then, the fair number that survived without "de-combing" tho we've all seen some that were "plugged."

Thanks for the reply/comment! Have to say that is a good way of putting it, a "tasty trio to be sure"!

Lets make it a quad then >

Try and find one on a dealer site, only made for a short period and not easy to find. Undervalued imo.
