Has anyone seen a bayonet by Peter Dan Krebs with this kind of blade before?

Hilt is magnetic with poor quality plating, typical for this maker, I believe.

Double edged blade? Nope, I've never seen one of thise by Krebs or anyone else. Odd maker mark too, quite large. I've seen that mark in a smaller form though. You're correct about Krebs' general plating, usually quite poor. The rivets don't look symetrical, is it possible this was a postwar blade retrofitted to period parts? Just a thought, not an indictment on it's veracity. Many thanks for showing this piece.

Maybe a WW1 trench style??? I don't know if Krebs was doing business then or not.

Walter shows Krebs in business from 1870 to 1954 but states firm not known to make weapons other than 3rd reich daggers. At some point they made this weapon.

This is the mark I'm more accustomed to seeing on a 3R KS98, note the poorly plated crossguard
