I don't know if this "book" has anything official, but it look to me that this guy just printed out the informations hardly gathered by John J, andy, Jack, and all other who founded this BCN and bring the light on the Makers and their codings.
I'm sure John and Erik will kick that sale VERY FAST!!!!

Hello Arnaud, nice about Your interest, but i believe the original book about the codes are normal avialable in bookshops, it was J. Preuss : „Zahlencode System des Heeres von 1920 bis 1940" (Journal Verlag Schwend GmbH 2002), this on Ebay is only a part selection made by Doug Howser that is a firearm collector. best regards,Andy

Andrej is correct. These type of items for collectors have been put out since at least the late 1950's. First just as typwriten mimeographed sheets of codes and makers and later as cheaply produced "chap books". I have a few of these old guides as for seem reason I have picked up older reference material and books over the years. Probably the best work of its kind in English is Walter's German Military Codes but it is far from complete and has a few errors. It is however well anotated with the types of items produced, etc. As Andrej noted, Preuss' Zahlencode is an excellent reference especially since one can match the older number codes with the later letter versions. The grandaddy of these references has got to be Pawlas' Liste der Fertigungskennzeichen fur Waffen, Munition, und Gerat. A copy of the secret original letter code maker's information that runs from inception to October 1944 (a to ozz). Sadly much of the information in series a to zz is missing. These later works are both in German. I would highly recommend all of these works.

My thoughts only - Lance O. Adams ....
