My observations over the last year have been that common and lesser quality bayo's are coming down in price while scarce and quality bayo's are holding their own and/or still gaining.

Speaking strictly about the local South Florida market there are fewer K98 bayos showing up. Dress bayos seem to be drying up also. I can't address how things are on the net or the big militaria shows.

I would say that every year, I buy a few less K98 bayonets than the previous year, so there are fewer on the market every year. As usual, got some very nice deals, but in general, I would say the price is stable for nice matching bayos. And in Europe, people start to know the markings, rivets and KM are sold for the same price than in the US now, instead of more than half prices before. I don't see any crisis on this market. My two eurocents ^^.
If it's '44 dated, I need it!

I believe etched bayonets will begin rising in price. The etches are intersting and very pleasing to the eye.HJ knives w/motto fetch more than a grand nowadays!Just take a look at C.E. 3219,a common etch, but plenty of eagles and swaz going on!!IMO..for less than a HJ etch! Joe
