Just bought this bajonet.. but what about the chain ? whats the story is it original ?! my first one ever to see, the bajonet and scabbard have matching serials..

The chain is a modification executed by The Norwegian Historical Society several years after the war. You will find these bayonets from time to time on Scandinavian armsfairs.

I don't know the reason for putting a chain on a 85/98. Seems odd thing to do

ok thanks anyway amsfelder at least i know now where it came from, well these pictures is from the auction i havent got it in my hands yet still on the way... but here is a couple with the chain attached
