Fellow collectors

I acquired this bayonet recently.

I am familiar with Naval markings which end in "o" and "K" but I have never seen one like this with an "a" suffix.

Any thoughts and opinions welcomed.

Richie

Richie,

Your bayonet is a Navy marked S84/98 to the Northsea Fleet. The ones you are familiar with were issued by the Ostsee Fleet.

Nice piece, the Northsea marking with a suffix is one of little problematic, because was not found to this time other pieces similar marked. best regards,Andy
