this is the 1935 MVSN for non commissioned officers. Looks like a nice example.

I would call it a dagger / Very nice piece you have there it is a nocome officer's dagger Mod. 1935-1936. The one you have looks like the scabbard was repainted but overall nice original dagger.
regards
Aleksandr

prior the RSI period, the party simbol + MVSN (Milizia Volontaria Sicurezza Nazionale) identify this dagger for a party member (camicie nere - black shirts) assigned to a fighting party unit (legione, something like bataillon). the same dagger also was provided with a scabbard without party symnol when assigned to a member of the regular army. after sept 8th 1939, these daggers, the model 38 and the oldest model 25 were adopted pratically by all the RSI (repubblica sociale italiana) units without particular regulations, due to the confusion sorted up in the northern italy in the new RSI

hi to all, about this set of knife i'd like to say something:
all the knives show in this post are 1935 model, knife not dagger.
all these models are common knife for troops, not for nco or for officers.
the model change for nco and change also for officers!!!!
is another knife for nco , totally different made , but similar for officer, the difference is the best finish for officers during the construction: best metal, all the parts is nikeled finish, the wood handle is in ebony made and not in other wood
