Hi Ted,
I have never seen a Yugo Police dagger with a Naval scabbard. Did you get an explanation? I have a real Police scabbard if you need one. Jim |

Hi Jim In my opinion it is proper dagger. Please take a look at 294 page at Berger book. There is copy of the page from catalog Svetozar stamenkovich retailer. On the top of the page on the right is the same dagger with the same scabbard. As You see on the blade is etching of retailer. The whole dagger has the same patina. And the condition of the dagger is not the best with matching wholes of the plating.Ted

Thanks for doing the research Ted.
It is another nice addition to your collection. |

Ted,
congratulation for your new addition! It is a very hard to find dagger. Jim, Ted I had two Yugo Police and Government daggers in my collection. Both with the naval scabbard what is with Ted's dagger. Unfortunatelly I sold one a few years ago. It was an ALCOSO dagger, the blade was marked with the retailer: Svetozar I Stamenkovich: just like in Berger's book. I found photos of the dagger on my computer. Janos ![]() |

The other one which I still have in my collection is an ALCOSO dagger.
The retailer is ANTUN KRAMER I DRUG SUBOTICA. It has the naval type scabbard also. Sorry about the quality of the photos... Janos ![]() |

Last: retailer's mark.
Ted, what is the retailer's mark on your dagger? I can't see it clearly. Greetings, Janos ![]() |

Great looking pieces & very interesting to see a WKC dagger with what looks like an Alcoso KM crossguard on Ted's dagger. These must be exceedingly tough to find pieces, never seen one before. Thanks for sharing them Gents!

Beutiful daggers Janos,
Note that your scabbards, while naval deswign, also have the Royal Yugo emblem. Ted's does not. This is the point I was asking about. Jim |

Jim,
thank you. Now I understand your comment. But I think Ted showed us several photos of the reverse side of the scabbard, and no pictures of the obverse. Maybe I am wrong... Ted, is there a Royal Yugo coat of arms on the obverse of the scabbard? Janos |

You guys think you are bad, I actually thought he posted both sides of the scabbard.
Now, we are happy with this. Good find Ted. Jim |

Please see one piece from my collection.
The grip is of artificial material. On blade is letter A for King Alexander (killed in France 1934) ![]() |
