Here is a Brazilian Navy Dagger, similar to one posted on wardaggers.com.
http://www.wardaggers.com/L101.htm
However, mine, comparing to this one, has a different color (white) of anchors both on the cross guard and on the pommel. Actually it looks like it was redone.

I was wondering maybe someone has any additional information/thoughts about my dagger. And what might be the reason for changing the anchors to white, if this is the case. Thanks in advance.

I have this dagger and was trying to get more information about it.

Really beautiful dagger, thank you for showing it.

On the white metal rather than brass for the anchor, I am guessing, but it is not unusual to have such variations between makers. Also, this could be special order. But these are just guesses.

Anyone else

Thanks Jim. Good guess, I have not thought of the special order. In fact there are three letters on the scabbard fittings which I believe to be owner’s initials. I will post a picture of it later.

Hello,
I have only the miniature version of the Brazilian Navy dagger.
It is 12 cm long.
Maker marked: EBERLE.
Sorry for the poor photo.

Janos, Nice miniatures.
I have heard that the officer would get a miniature version of the dagger along with the real one. Someone from Brazil told me that, however I doubt this was the case.
By the way, does anyone here have pictures of Brazilian officers with daggers you can share with us.
