I picked this up in Reno on Friday. The scabbard has a professional paint job where the painter masked off the hanger bands for a stunning affect.

The wood grips are as good as I have seen as is the metal. Normally there is rust in spots, but not on this one.

CONGRATS! What a Super Looking & Conditioned M1925! The grip Fasces are MUCH Nicer looking, than on the later models. Neat. Is the wood of Ebony, or of a painted Type?

We just don't see these very often - & they don't get Better than Yours! Txs for Sharing it.
Best... Dave/dblmed

Thanks Dave.

The wood would be similar to ebony I believe. This is why there are normally cracks.

Hi lance. The blade shows no dings or abuse. It is one of the nicer ones I have seen.

I am sorry I can not find the file with the photos

Jim,

I think the repaint really brings out the scabbard contrast, really great looking M1925!

Mike, don't know any shop or militaria boutique in Rome, but in Bologna next 28 and 29 November will take place a small militaria show

on eban, # 110456532157 , there is a model 25 which to me appears original, but look at the crossguard and you will note neither the word M V S N on one side nor the serial # on the other side are visible. Also, I cannot see the pin in the middle of the crossguard. I think it has been hardly buffed at some time, otherwise it seems good. Have you ever seen others like this, without # and word ??

My opinion is that this has been rebuilt. Because you can not replace the pin properly, the scoundrel buffed the crossguard the same as the factory originally did. But, there is no stamped numbers.

Look at the wood on the grip. I believe someone has been at work here.
