Zet,

A nice piece that's been there. I was maybe 2 or 3 minutes behind you on this one Smile Speak to John Merling, if I remember correctly he was able to fashion a quick fix on the blue background in the grip emblem.

I just received the dagger from Ted.

The knife is very attractive in person. The photos did not do it justice.

This was what I consider to be the best of collecting. Ted had this and I had an early Polish cadets dagger. The Polish dagger meant more to Ted and the Dutch meant more to me and we traded.

Talk about the joy of the hobby. It is good to have friends you can trust.

Thanks Ted.

You may be interested in this upcoming book...

Dutch Awards / Decorations

As well as a being the most comprehensive reference on NSB/ Dutch SS, medals / awards.. with newly researched material from the Dutch archives.
There will be some surprises .... Big Grin

As we were given access to the best Dutch collections, including Germanic Dutch daggers. We decided to in include a chapter on them.

The youth daggers and their variants will be covered, as well as some other German made Dutch daggers, that people thought didn’t make it past the drawing board.. Eek

Kurt Glemser has an original by Christians, Solingen, on page 204 and 205 of his volume 4.
The grips and their rivets do not have the roblems of the reproductions.

Hi John,

No, just the Dutch youth knife variants (which isnt actually an accurate description... Eek ..each will be pictured in the book and explained).

And some other daggers ... of the NSB / WA / JS ... Eek
