Code of Conduct

German Daggers Dot Com is dedicated to promoting and expanding the hobby of collecting military antiques and associated activities. We do not support or tolerate pro-Nazi statements or ideas. We prohibit statements that, in our sole discretion, may glorify the ideals of Nazi Germany. Anti-Semitism, racism, religious intolerance, comments designed to denigrate homosexuals, or national insults will not be tolerated. Violators will be suspended for 30 days. Repeat violators will be expelled.

Members who are known to be of suspect character or who display questionable ethics off-site may be expelled from this community. Some examples are, but not limited to; selling known reproduction items as original, participating in the construction of reproduction items in order to deceive others, openly defaming forum members on another site, or engaging in an unlawful activity.

Be friendly, polite, positive, and helpful. If you think someone’s artifact is not correct or your opinion differs from theirs, be sure to explain why. If you receive unexpected criticism of your artifact, please be tolerant. If you have issues with other member that you cannot solve by private email, please contact a Moderator or the Administrators.

Please do not bicker, troll, insult, flame, or make posts that are calculated to make others angry, damage their reputation or start arguments. No profanity, adult humor, or racy photos please. Exercise common courtesy and decency. Posts that are plainly and clearly antagonistic in nature and tone will be considered trolls. Any discussion that becomes disruptive or argumentative may be removed without warning or later comment. Moderators and Administrators have the final word on what constitutes prohibited behavior. Violators may be suspended for 30 days. Repeat violators will be expelled.

Each Member must maintain a valid Display Email Address in their public Profile as a condition of membership in this Forum. If an email address is found to be invalid, an attempt will be made to contact the person in question and a notice will be posted in the Community Center. The account may be suspended pending a new email address being forwarded to Administrators.

If you wish to use the Forum to redress a particular grievance, your comments must adhere to three rules. First, the forum should be used in this way as a last resort - plaintiffs must have sought to resolve a specific problem privately with the dealer to no avail. Second, a complaint must be specific and free of emotional language and innuendo. Third, a public complaint must only include known facts and may not include unsubstantiated suspicions and should not draw “universal conclusions” about a person’s character or knowledge. Complaints that do not meet these criteria will not be tolerated. Remember, public accusations cannot be taken back. Because of this, violations of our policy may result expulsion from our community.

Premium Members and Moderators may post free ads in the Free Ad Forum. We also offer paid Classified ads. You MAY discuss items that appear for sale in the Free Ads Forum or Classified section.

As matter of common courtesy, please make sure that the sources are properly credited if you post or link to images, or quote from the work, posts, or statements of other people. Any photograph from a dealer site posted must be attributed.

We are dedicated to expanding knowledge of genuine historical relics and, by default, exposing faked, reworked, and enhanced items that deceive collectors. To avoid confusion, we require that members posting images disclose anything that is not 100% original in any image that they post. Violators may be suspended for 30 days. Repeat violators will be expelled.

No double-registering. Obtaining or using two or more membership aliases is not in keeping with our community’s character. Violators can be suspended for 30 days. Those who double-register for nefarious purposes, will, at the discretion of GDC Administration, be permanently banned from our community.

This forum was established to discuss German edged weapons and is continually expanding to include other aspects of militaria. Topics involving modern politics, religion, or those that evolve into modern political or religious issues are not allowed and will be removed. Violators may be suspended for 30 days. Repeat violators will be expelled.

Administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit or move any posts that we believe are Code of Conduct violations. Violation posts may be moved or edited without reference to the author.
