Hard to come to work after a late night like last night.... beating Italy, finally and in the penalties to go through to semis. Russia is waiting for us on Thursday, and we already beat them 4-1. Of course this is a slighthly different and more confident Russia.

And Germany has to play Turkey. Wow.... with over 2 million Turks in Germany, that will be interesting. However this Turkey team is severely depleted... in fact they will most likely need their third string goal keeper to come in as a defender....

So possible final of Germany vs. Spain?

I believe if Russia beat us on Thursday, they are a slight favorite to go all the way. That is also a surprise. Andrei Arshavin is an amazing player. He grew up in poverty in Leningrad after their father abandoned them.

In any case, Germany is the team I would hate the least to lose the final to. Too many good friends there to be otherwise

For the loosing side, it was a terrible Euro.
Some of the favorites didn't even make it, France, Italia, Holland, Portugal and ex-Euro Champion, Greece.
Look on the other side now, Turkey made it to the semi final, geeeeeeeeeeee.

The French coach claimed, before the Euro even started, that France would be in the final............they couldn't even beat Romania.

My worst Euro cup in years.

I guess it could have been worst, two football super powers didn't even make the qualification, England and Belgium.

I haven't got any favorites for the final but I do like Michael Ballack, a wonderful player that played well in the British League (Chelsea).
And what a final it was between Chelsea and Manchester United.
Manchester United was however my favorite team and simply because one of France's most talented football player, was once a superstar in Manchester and his name was.............Eric Cantonna.
