SwordFish:

Maybe someone could ask these guys for some 'references'. We could find out which dealers are buying these items.

you will find that this guy steals pictures from legitimite sights and uses them to front his wares so you never would know what you are getting in fact he has lifted police pictures I believe from this forum

I get emails from this guy and similar other Asian outfits every week. One guy asked me to send him real collar tabs and he would reproduce them stitch by stitch.
Paul makes a great point. The stealing of pics is a dangerous practice. We are seeing this on Ebay and other auction sites and now from Asian dealers, very sad.
Relationships are very important in the hobby not just with dealers but with fellow collectors on forums such as this. The turkeys running these scams get identified here pretty quick. Trouble is the guys getting scammed are those not connected. I always wonder who the poor sod is that pays retail for some of the crap we see on Ebay....

Paul is correct..there is always a man that sets up at our shows here, dealing the Pakistani repro junk..he always cruises the tables looking for real armbands, collar tabs etc..so that he may have them reproduced 'more expertly' as he would say..most of the lads tell him to get on his bike..!!! Big Grin

Here, they still have not weeded out the sale of tables to non-militaria dealers..

Getting back to my point. If we can find out whom he sells to, maybe we can smoke out his revenue stream and shut him down. If we know which dealers he sells to, we can shame them into not buying and selling this crap.

And still the best repros are not getting to the stich to stich. The best current repros are out from Europe.
