Hello,
Borrowed this knife from my friend along with a couple medals posted in the medals forum. This is a proto-type knife made during WW2 and is one of two known to exist, the other is in the springfield museum. This one is numbered 3 on the pommel and on the scabbord, intersting note is the other one does not have a scabbord. I'll have more pics later.

Thanks Jerry. Here is a pic of the pommel with the number 3. I'm really amazed this post hasn't gotten more traffic, this knife is jsut as rare as a SA FHH dagger. I'm just supprised.

Maybe Knuckledusters are just not morally correct nowadays. Wink

Nice pile of knucks there Pablo!

I don't think anyone has that M-1 one in their collection! (and if that one serial #3, and the other is in the museum, then there is still at least one out there somewhere!)

What is cool about that one is it was still designed to function as a bayonet, what a wicked design. Looks like the blade was specifically designed for the piece too. Very very cool...

Tyrel,
Not sure what the heck is going on with your last two posts? I'll have to look into it or let Dave know.

Check your browser and keyboard. That's not being generated by the site. Could be a locked "Ctrl" key on your keyboard or a liquid spill Wink

Can anyone here get me in contact with the curator at the sprinfield armory museum? I would like to get some more info on this knife if possible for my friend.
