I came across an old American collection recently from a person who's grand father was with the Cav when they still were using horses. In closed is a MD 1881 holster for both the Colt SA and the S&W Scofield. One of these sold for big $ on RIA. Note the forty five star flag.

Nice find Dow:
If I remember correctly there's two holes through the flap to accomodate each type revolver but I can't quite make this out in your picture.

Yes their is two sepperate holes on the flap and it has a RIA maker mark. I will be posting other items that came with the collection in the future.
