Picked these up this morning, not a big pile but worth the trip, nice 1942 dated signal corp book, few shoulder patches, 8th Inf Rgt DI but they are both different one is clutch back the pther pin back but the symbol in the lowere left corner is different, then a nice AAF overseas cap and last a sterling bracelet with the mans name and ASN on it. Not a bad morning

These days anytime you can leave a flea market with more than a hot dog, you are doing well! There is so much competition here for stuff, any thing reasonable gets scooped up. But its still a great time to buy with more stuff coming out every day!

Looks like the variant DI might just be a Mfg variation of the rendition of the "eagles claw" that symbolized the defeat of the Prussian army in WWI ( in which the 8th occupied)

Thanks Jerry! Had to really dig for these, found all of it in the bottom of a box, there was a friend of mine there that collects/pics also and he missed this stuff. Todays market wasn't as good but still picked up a nice 8 wheel variation tank destroyer patch.
