Local flea market early find ! Found this one at 6:00 am . The man was just placing it on his table when I walked by. Picked it up and asked how muc , his reply wa that he thought it may be some sort of italian jacket and he would take $6.00. I bought it. I am no expert on these but it appears to be original. No markings anywhere nor any laundry stamps. Enjoy and all opinions or info will be appreciated.

Roll Eyes

It looks good from here. There may be the remnants of the spec tag inside the lower left pocket as you face it. But many times these washed out.

Great find! that beats my record of getting one for $22...

Can't do that as it's Sunday. thanks a lot for your comments. $22 was a great deal too. do not see any remmants of the tag at all.

Curious are the Crown and comar zippers the norm ?

About 2 years ago , same flea market , about 8:00 am , walked by a table and there was a luft camo para smock for $20. Smaller one , lot of wear but I bought it anyway.

Most of the time there is nothing there.

thanks again.

Strangely the ones made for "Band of Brothers" make way more than the originals in my experience

Thanks all for your comments , I am not well versed in U S paratrooper jump jackets at all. o many copies have been made and I wanted to be sure this one was original. I do not want reproductions in my collection. Judging where and how I aquired it and after examimng it very carefully I felt that it was original. Just wanted your comments.
Any rules of thumb as to originality to look for on these jump jackets and pants also as I now will be looking for a pair ?
Thanks much,
Glenn
