I got a call to look at some US helmets with woodland covers, a chromed one, etc. But in that menagerie there was also this nice WW2 fixed bail US navy helmet painted with the rank of captain. A diamond in the rough as it were.

Buying painted helmets is very scary these days, but sometimes they just speak to you, and you "know" they are right.

Anyone else have any WW2 painted lids?
