Hi

I am looking for information on a 1921 German Lugar that was given to me by my dad. He got it from his brother in World War ll. It comes with a holster, one additional clip and some sort of small tool in it's own holder in the guns holster. The numbers on the gun are 1921, 1174, back of grip SH1186, 9.82, 6799 on clip and 74 on top. I don't know what these numbers are or what I have here. Please advise me and give me any information you can.

Thank you
RTaylor

What you have is a 1920 Police Luger. They were reconditioned using WWI service pistols and issued to the German police. 1921 is the issue date, 1174 is the serial number (may have a letter under it), the 74 is the last 2 digits of the serial number stamped on all parts (this is the military style of numbering). The SH1186, 9.82 is the police unit marking. A nice luger and desirable for many collectors. And welcome to the forum Wink

Vern

Thank you very much for your information. Would you have any idea as to it's current value? A price range? It also has about 20 to 25 original bulets.

Thanks

Luger prices depend very much on condition. On a condition range of 75% to 98%, value could range from $400-1200, perhaps more for that unit code. The little tool in the holder is a loading tool. The holster and loading tool would add $100-200 to the value.

That is a rare image of him showing facial animation. I think it is produced by a probe and a mild electrical current.

Hello. How is everyone? My father gave me two guns last night and I have no clue of their worth. One is a 1944 Mauser (dot) that has never been shot. The other is a 1921 Luger (Gesichert) with the holster and loading key inside. Does anyone have a clue on the price? Also my father told me that there is an extension for the luger that goes back to the shoulder. Where, if possible, could I purchase it? Thank you.

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

The dot 1944 is the standard German WWII service rifle. This particular one made in 1944 by Wafferwerk Brunn AG in Czechoslovakia. As Rick mentioned, pictures would be a great help in determining value of both.
