just acquired this type II Radom pistol,slotted for shoulder stock,,,can anyone id the "Y" symbol stamped into the left trigger guard,,,many thanks,,Robert

radom plant used many factory stamps mine has what looks like a singular lightning bolt but it is not ss just a z

I'd think just a proof mark as well. I have a couple of these, but would have to dig them out and check the marks on mine. Although commonly called "Radoms" the pistol is actually a Vis. Radom was the town where the armory was located.
