This Luger was from WWI era and the barrel was repalced with the 30 Cal barrel as demanded by the treaty.

The spare barrel is the original barrel to the Luger and is properly serial numbered and proofed.

Based on the proof marks, this is a private weapon.
Can someone tell me what that means. Does it mean it was owned by a civilian, or were these purchased by officers for their use? Also, how many complete set ups can there be where the original barrel is still with the pistol? Any help would be appreciated. |
