Hi, I recently bought this Broomhandle Mauser from a friend. The serial number 312408 places it in the range of a war time Commercial piece. My question is, what does the star with a 1 inside mean. It is stamped on several parts of the pistol. My friend thought it was Korean War North Korean markings. Can anybody help me ID the marking? 4 pictures. Thanks, CHUCK
