this story seems to have snuck in under most people`s radar. the govt. here in the uk has let it be known , that by the end of this year, they intend to ban de-act weapons. don`t know how many on here will be affected by this, but i haven`t seen it anywhere else on this forum.

I saw this too - more knee jerk re-action in my opinion.

Can't see it achieving much beyond penalising the innocent collector.

Maybe they should put a bit more effort into catching + properly penalising the people who use firearms in the commission of a crime.

honest collector are easier targets
what about browns pledge to do something about the "more dangerous knives" how can one knife be more lethal then another ,apart from length, and he pointed out hunting knives being one example of a dangerous knife .do you honestly think muggers and killers use hunting knives ?how many times do we hear that a hunting knife was used in a crime? bread knives stanley knive kitchen knives yes but hunting knives pure madness if brown believes this he should not be in office being far to stupid !!

Are metal dinner forks and knives still allowed in UK or Gov. already pushed you Guys to use the plastic ones? Cool
Just kidding of course - sadly in most parts of the World people will be forced sooner or later to use only chop-sticks or bare hands to enjoy their meals.
We don't need guns to hunt the food - just call nearest McDonald.
We don't need guns for protection - we are protected by ... oh well.
Saturday I’m going to Montreal Gun Show just to see what’s left to collect.

I have never heard of a gun control law enacted in any country or at any period in time that has been the last attempt at restricting the individual's right own arms.

Many roll their eyes when one talks of the slippery slope concept or boiling the frog, but is it not ALWAYS in fact the case?

When you get hit with one gun control measure you can darn well bet that it is just the beginning despite the assurances that always come from the Left that the particular law that they are pushing for will be the last.

They will own your homes, property and perhaps even your families before it is all over. There is no quinching the thirst for absolute power and control that these types have.

The most famous saying of all time on this subject."Power tends to corrupt and absolut power corrupts absolutely." John Emerach Edward Dalberg-Acton aka Lord Acton (1834-1902). Little known third phrase to this famous saying was"Great men are almost always bad men." This saying was in reference to the Catholic Church and the crisis that occured in 1870 with Pope Pius IX's dogma of papal infallability, from a letter dated 1887 to Bishop Mandell Creighton. Lord Acton was a Catholic. David
