Hi again,

Here is a second helmet I have questions on. This one appears to have hung from a wall as a decoration for some time. There is a loop sewn on the end of one of the chin straps and the leather liner is torn where the strap held it. (or so it appears).

In any case, the one area where the leather is torn is fairly hard. everything seems to be present including gauze in at least one of the liners.

There is a letter in the back but none I can find on the front.

My main question on this is the color. The helmet is green as the photos present.

Is this correct.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Jim

I can post more photos, but I think the inside of this one is ok, I wonder about the color.

Thank you

Jim

The interior/liner/straps looks original. The single white painted kanji on rear interior rim is size mark "large" for shell & liner size. That shade of green on exterior usually suggests post war reissue of captured helmets to another Asian country such as China, Korea or Vietnam.
