Here is a Yasukuni Shrine sword made in January 1941 without the orginal gunto mounts. Its made by Yasunobu who worked at the Shrine from 1933 till the surrender.

I am a very Ignorant novice but this piece is very beautiful to me I am fascinated by the polishing of swords,I have begun to study Gunto pieces so I can begin to learn the methods of true sword forging.Thank you for your sharing Geoff.
