Hello

I know nothing about Japanese helmets, or any other helmet for that part, but I have these two Japanese helmets which I am going to sell and I would like to know about them. They are "out of the woodwork" as far as I can tell and both have liners.

The first one I call the yellow helmet. Here are some photos.

Hard to comment on them based on your photos. Both are army. I see no size stamp on rear interior rim? Should be a single white painted kanji character. Also liners (missing pad inserts) look odd to me & I believe might of been played with. The position of liner in one helmet looks incorrect. They are both in just good condition & I'd monitor ebay for a week or two to average a selling price.

Hi Jareth. Actually, all these photos are of the same helmet, sorry about the photos but they look clear to me. There is white ink writing in the first photo but it is at the front of the helmet. The white character in the back of the helmet can be seen faintly.

I will post additional photos of the details of the helmet.

I will post the second helmet. under a different thread to not confuse the issue any more.

Thank you Jareth

Jim

Here is one of the connectors. If the photo is too dark let me know.

Here is the front pad with the name(I assume).

The pouches for the pds appear to never have been used. On the second helmet I will post later, there is a pouch inside one pouch with gauze, so I understand now what is suppose to be there.

Specific to your concern about this liner, the two buttons seem slightly different to me.

Here is the first.

I'm thinking this liners is an aged repro. The one rivit is a replacement likely post war.

Interesting..One flat split rivit and a domed split rivit. Were there any differences between branches of service??I think Jareth might be of help here.Perhaps the "Name"will prove interesting.Best to all G.
