i recently had this bayonet walk into my shop and I did as much research as I could. Larry Johnsons book calls this a type "L" BUT this one had the small rivits and a almost rounded handle (straight grip with no curve). Also a fullered blade, Also the manufactures of the type "L" are only known as "Matsu****a" and this one is clearly a "Kokura". Well Your the Experts so let me know what you think

Those grips are not original.Might of been at one time but they've been reshaped post war. The Japanese did not use fastners/rivets like that on grips.
