I picked up this beauty at the Chantilly show.
I simply cannot match the signature to anything I know. I need your expert advise on this one.

The signature on your blade reads "Inshu Ju Kanetsugu Saku." The Nihonto Meikan lists only one swordsmith working with this signature. It attributes his work from the Tenpo era, starting in 1830 and running until 1844.

Thanks gentlemen. This was a bare blade no mounts. Wak size 21 inches.
