Haushalt = household
auflösen = to dissolve, liquidate
kaufen = to buy

I would say that a "Haushaltsauflöser" seems to be somebody who liquidates households. Together with the word "kaufen" the only meaning I could think of is to "engage somebody, who liquidates a household".

Any more information around these 2 words? Maybe that might be helpful.

It makes no sense. In the german language, you would never say or write something like this. If I would say, I' m a "Haushaltsauflöser", the meaning would be, it's my job to liquidate households, but in a private way. "kaufen" means the plural. One person: "Er kauft", two people: "sie kaufen" (they buy). So, if there is a company of semiprofessional guys, who want to buy something, they could write these words, but its very theoretical. A typical offer in german newspapers is: "...wegen Haushaltsauflösung zu verkaufen."

Thanks guys, thats what I thought.

The context was an email I received from the buyer of a grouping in Berlin. It turns out the widow of the vet passed away, and the daugher sold the house and everything in it, including these items from the war. I understood the rest but couldnt not figure out this word (apart from kaufen)
