I put this into the Babelfish translation, which is accessable at the top of the page, and it translated to 'washable also mif gasoline'.

I find Babelfish to be very useful to get a basic translation, or at least a start on it - give it a try.

Absolutely no idea, but I'm sure someone here will be able to offer an answer to that!

Mike, is it the hard type doll like porcelain or something?. It might just mean its O.K. to use something like mineral sprits, paint thinners to clean..I've seen some dolls and collections and haven't seen anything like that , strange..

Maybe a photo of the phrase and the real translators can have a go at it...

that origninal phrase posted indeed means...washable with gasoline=benzin in german...however I would not recommend this...unless you washed it right afterwards...rinsed it of with some soap...

may I tell a story here...in Nam I had a puppy that the Koreans gave me...to eat I think...not for a pet...well he became the company pet...the fellows named him Hermann Goering because he was fed and fed again by the flightcrews and the fellows in the hangers and the radio guys...etc...etc.
Everyday when we landed he would come running out to the flight line to greet me...one day the CO had the flightline coated with liquid ashpalt...like a very thick oil...and the dog got is all over himself...some of the fellow wanted to just shoot him...one of the guys helped me put him in a 55gallon barrel that we used to clean the M60s...with JP4...it got that oily gunck right off him...but after a while it started to eat into his pads and skin and we took him out and washed him in soap and water...I dont know what this story has to do with that translation...exept that that puppy fur and pads were a little like that german doll...so please forgive me for straying of the subject...make sure you rinse the doll in some neutral solution...hey...how about beer? Prosit...your SteinMeister...Roland.
