In looking for information on Imperial German Navy ships...I've found battleships preceded with the word:
Schlachschiff and Lienienschiff...
haven't been able to translate them...
Any help out there????
Thanks.......

Hi Lou,

Schlachtschiff is a battleship and a Linienschiff is a "ship of the line" as it were.

I'll have to see if I can get you some books on these old ironclads on the cheap. I think I know where several might be ..?

Best regards!

Bill
